Knockout Music is a retail, tuition and music services company based in St Albans, Herts.

Our music shop, The Music Dept, has been in St Albans since 1980 and at its current premises on London Road since 1986. We are a guitar specialist , carrying around 200 new and used guitars at any one time, with our workshop providing stringing, setup, upgrade and renovation services for all guitars. You can buy online by clicking The Music Dept icon at the top of this page.

Our music school, Strum & Drum, is operated evenings and weekends at various locations across Hertfordshire. We teach guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and singing to the aspiring young rock star and have been doing so since 2003. To date we have delivered over 100,000 lessons and the school is now available as a franchise.

As a services company, we provide an outsourced music tuition option to schools and colleges, as well as offering instrument rental and assisted instrument purchase schemes to their students.
